Byrd Dawg hit the stage again last night at Blue Frog Studios in White Rock, B.C. Joel Dietrich, Wayne Rempel and the outstanding Vintage Electric Band took the audience on a musical trip through the hits of not only the Everly Brothers, but also Simon and Garfunkel. Both sold out crowds were treated to a tribute to the music of these two amazing duos. It’s the third visit to Blue Frog for Byrd Dawg, and I’m sure there will be another…stay tuned.
Byrd Dawg took over the Blue Frog Studios in White Rock B.C. once again, with their tribute to the Everly Brothers and Simon and Garfunkel. Joel Dietrich and Wayne Rempel, backed by the Vintage Electric band took to the Blue Frog stage for 2 shows tonight. After a Summer time off, I was back mc’ing the show, and what a great show it was! The boys thrilled the audience with their harmonies, and emphasized that they were paying tribute to the music, not trying to imitate the 2 duos. All the great hits were there, and both crowds had a great time singing along to all the classic hits.
The True North Troubadours took us all back to the 60’s Folk Era tonight at the Blue Frog Studios in White Rock B.C. It was a tribute to Peter Paul and Mary, and other folk song performers. It was a night filled with harmonies, featuring Wayne and Diane Rempel, and Joel Dietrich, with Steve Labish on acoustic stand up bass. It was a Hootenanny all over again! The Blue Frog scores big time.
