Merry Christmas?

Call me old fashioned, but isn’t September 27th just a little too early to be Jingling the Bells! A trip to Walmart in Maricopa Arizona yielded this discovery. And they were starting to put out the tree decorations in the next aisle! We’re still over a month away from Halloween. Ah, well, in case I don’t see you, Merry Christmas!

Maricopa Arizona

A view that never gets old. Overlooking the lake in Maricopa Arizona. Unseasonably hot for the past few days. Topped out at 100 degrees F yesterday. Not complaining, just an observation. Even though they say it’s a “dry heat” it’s still very hot not only in the direct sun, but also in the shade! Nice to get the place opened up for the Winter season. More seasonable temperatures are on the way next week.

Pure Petty

It was Pure Petty last night at Blue Frog Studios in White Rock British Columbia Canada. A salute to the music of Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers rocked Blue Frog, enjoyed by audiences at the 2 sold out shows. The late show last night was streaming live around the world! A super tight band from Vancouver Island, fronted by Tom Petty lookalike/soundalike, Dave D. worked through an amazing set, with Art Van Volsen on drums, John Mang, Guitar, Keys and vocals, Lance Lapointe on bass, and an amazing performance on lead guitar by Richard Spencer. It was a high energy night of rock and roll!

American Woman

Back Mc’ing at Blue Frog Studios in White Rock British Columbia, Canada last night for 2 of the 4 sold out shows for Colin Wiebe and American Woman. A show that is a celebration of the great Canadian rock band, The Guess Who! Colin, backed by an all star band, went through the Guess Who songbook, and brought back a ton of memories, that had the audience singing along. Colin toured with Randy Bachman for 20 years, and has received high praise from Burton Cummings for the American Woman show.
