In The Beginning…

Thank you for paying a visit to my new website.

As you can see, over the past 45 years I’ve been fortunate to have done a little bit of everything in the broadcasting business.

I love the opportunities the industry affords, and over the years have been able to travel the world working on a number of projects for both radio and television.

For the past 20 years, informing viewers about the coming storms, or dazzling sunshine, has been a big part of my life and hopefully I did it with just the right balance of information and entertainment.

During that time there have also been opportunities to act as the master of ceremonies at corporate dinners, award nights, as well as fundraising galas.  I have been asked to co-host a number of fundraising telethons for Variety Club, World Vision, and Children’s Hospital, and have been the spokesperson for the major fundraising commercial campaign for the Vancouver General Hospital.

But the time has come to leave the Newsroom/Weather office, and get back to the freelance world.

I’m starting this latest chapter with this online presence: waynecox.tv.  It will be my base for future projects, whether it’s MC work, commercial campaigns, game shows, television or radio. I’ll be able to keep you up to date on what’s happening in my world. And so it begins….
